On May 24, 2012 Jeff Bear from urbanrez productions (urbanrez.ca) will be flying to Sault Ste Marie from B.C. He will be screening the documentary that he made about last years historical water walk. The screening will be at Algoma University in the Great West Life Amphitheatre. Doors open at 7pm, and things will get underway at 7:30pm

Currently Nokomis Josephine Mandamin is preparing for the Lake Nipigon trip. Last week her and some young women walked the water to the edge of Lake Nipigon. At the end of next week we will be picking up where the water touched down and taking it all around Lake Nipigon by boat. I will be accompanying Josephine on this trip.

The screening will be at Algoma University in the Great West Life Amphitheatre. Doors open at 7pm, and things will get underway at 7:30pm. Many of our Algoma U and Shingwauk Kinoomaage Gamig students participated in the walk last spring; some of them are graduating this June, including Josephine.
