Comments: Josephine has been inspiring me the last five years I have attended the gathering in Pipestone. This year I was very moved by the water ceremony and brought some of the water shared at the Three Maidens home with me to create jars of healing water at home. I had used the story shared about Dr. Emoto some years ago to make a blessing on a water that I used to help my dog manage his diabetes. Comments: Booshoo nindawaymawgunidoog On saturday morning I picked up my son Nick to travel into Canada from New Hampshire to support the Water Walkers. We pulled out at 300am to get there by 1000am. Our hope was that several others would come with us but as the others came to realize the distance and barriers we dwindled down to just the two of us. This was a little dissapointing since it meant that we had no women to help with the work. Never the less we made the best of it and helped where ever we could.We found two grandmothers carrying the water together with Gabriel and Joshua carrying the staff. I have enclosed some photos that I took for your enjoyment and for any album about the walk. On the way home Nick commented that it seemed hardly worthwhile to go to all that trouble when so few seemed to be helping. I explained to him that others would be there and are coming and that some had to leave. He felt hundreds or more should have been walking. His comment made both of both of us realize how very important it is to support the good works of our brothers and sisters. It was a good day and we arrived home only wishing that we could have stayed longer.

Comments: Dear Walkers Many years ago when I was a kid I grew up playing on the Kalamazoo River that flows to Lake Michigan. A favorite play area of ours was a section of the river on the edge of town that had a small pool of water that gathered before entering the river. This pool was runoff from a foundry. It's attractiveness to us kids was the fact that this water was warm and orange. The sand beneath was like quicksand and we would play out our Tarzan of the jungle fantasies which always included someone sinking into quicksand. Only recently I've discovered that this section of land and water has been cordoned off by the EPA as a toxic site. The list of chemicals found in this patch of land and water reads like the top 100 carcinogens. This was my playground and yes many years later I was diagnosed with cancer of the immune system. The waters of my body and the waters of the earth are one. This is the story of just one small industrial town of America. Thank you for walking.

Comments: Thank you for doing thisI live on the Connecticutt River in NH and it's bad here too I've read reports and tried to bring awareness and will train as a river watcher in a few days. They say it's better now the paper mills don't make it change color anymore wow Our prioritues are really messed up. I go out on the river often in the spring/summer/fall for kayaking loveit out htere the bird life and the peace it gives me unreplaceable. ANd I read that there aare still parts of the river that are not fit for revreating in. Too much polution. Very sad. I hope to meet some of you on May 3rd at Silver Hawk.

Comments: I have heard of the walk and read of it on the net. I also have heard the stories as of 2007 in Ottawa during a Water conservation seminar. I share the concern and the meaning of the clean waters for our future generations.Today on the Highway back form Montreal I found the caraban and Grandmother Josphine. Mid afternoon and already not so hot of a day wwe stopped with Carole to join them and see how they were doing. Good thing we did since they were going away from their path. Not even 2 minutes after we talked to them the Police showed up because we were stopped on a 90 Km/Hr Highway. They talked to Gabe and kindly gave us directions to retake their path to their next stop at a convent in Longueuil Quebec close to our home town. I just got word from my work place that I wiill begin my work week on Tuesday so I will be able to join them tomorrow and help carry the sacred staff for as long as they allow me. I Thank them for their determination continue to the end. Gracias

Comments: Thank you....I have observed a group of Harbor Seals here in the Gulf of Maine for 29 years and am a research assistent for Allied Whale which holds the catalog for Humpbacks and Finbacks in the North Atlantic. My heart is with these wonderful beings and I know how devastating it is to have toxic waters flow out of the St. Lawrence River into the Gulf of St. Lawrence and swirl into the rich fishing and feeding grounds of the Gulf of Maine.
